Gay and Lesbian Atlanta (Images of America: Georgia)
For much of the 20th century, Atlanta was a magnet drawing newcomers from around the nation. Atlanta’s growth from a small Southern town to a Sunbelt colossus in many ways parallels the changes that shaped America during those 100 years: industrialization, technological innovation, suburbanization, and battles over racial equality. Largely overlooked in the Atlanta story, however, are the experiences of lesbians and gay men. In a city governed by powerful business interests and an ethos of Christian conservatism, gays and lesbians maneuvered in ways both large and small, public and private, to find personal happiness, professional fulfillment, and, eventually, a political voice. Until recently, Atlanta’s gay and lesbian history survived and perished with the memories of the men and women who lived it. Now a small part of that history has been preserved in this collection of unforgettable images..

Castles & Crusades Castle Zagyg: Dark Chateau
This adventure is designed for and fully compatible with the Castles & Crusades® Role Playing Game and the Castle Zagyg: Yggsburgh adventure and campaign setting. Long before the Archmagi Zagyg moved into the deeps of the great castle that came to bare his name, he took up his dwelling in a house north of the fledgling town of Yggsburgh. The house there he built of stone, and around it a great fence. Here he hid himself away, nestled in the deeps of the Menhir hills. This Chateau served as his home for many years and labored in its laboratories learning the trade of the wizard. Here lay his apothecaries, his conservatory, and solarium. He built donjons beneath and flooded its recesses with all manner of dark thought and incantation, until at last a heavy, brooding darkness lay over the Chateau. Few visited the eccentric mage and the fear of his madness spread through the valleys and across the hills of Yggsburgh. But one day, without warning the wizard gathered his books and charts, his beakers and jars and all the myriad materials of his studies, closed its doors and removed himself from the Chateau. Later the folk of Yggsburgh learned that Zagyg had settled in the nearby castle, whereat he continued his many and varied magical studies. And the Dark Chateau was far from his thought and fell into disuse and ruin. Goblins came to haunt the hills about and many times set to plundering the old house, but often it proved too daunting, too deadly and the bones of many stout goblin soon mixed with the rubble about of the house. But they spoke of this place around their camps and eventually rumor of the haunted manse came to the folk of Yggsburgh. Here it is fashion to discuss the wizard and his dark abodes, the greater and lesser. They tell of wealth undreamt of, and power in magic left lying upon the stony floors. There in the Menhir Hills lies the Dark Chateau and the wealth of the Magi’s youth, all tokens for the taking if the adventurer be brave and have the fortitude to bury his comrades in the halls of the dead. An adventure module for 3-6 characters of 1st - 3rd level..

Castles & Crusades Verdant Rage
The hooves of the bay stallion crunched loudly upon the pine needles littering the floor of the Everwood, making the hooded figure leading the animal wince in consternation. As with all those who ply their profession with stealth, such rampant noisemaking was abhorrent to the nature of the man a ranger by career - traveling deep into the wild woods of the valley. The melodic rustle of the leaves in the wind soothed the ranger somewhat as he made his way purposefully towards the Great Oak at the center of the Everwood, the forest's very heart as well as the nexus of its power. What an appropriately peaceful setting for a meeting with a druid,' the ranger mused. Though at odds with the burden I bear.' The Everwood was always a place of serene beauty, a forest both ancient and mysterious. Known for its deep roots it has served as a home for the fey for generations without count. But the world is a wide and dangerous place and the druids long ago set themselves the task of protecting the Everwood from the depredations of evil. Thus it has always been. For many long years the Druid Argus, the latest in his line of folk, has kept the Forest of Everwood safe. His struggles have pitted him against foes great and small. But no matter the challenge he has always found the wherewithal to overcome evil. But lately a new has come to his possession. The Ranger Lords have given over to him an evil grimoire. They sought his experience and knowledge in unraveling the book and hoped there by to know what to do with it. Argus took the charge, hoping to glean from it knowledge of their enemy. And so he bent himself to learning all that the book had to offer. But his researches have of late gone foul. His studies have opened up a nightmare and this book is not simple wizard s text of spells but the book of the undead, the Liber Mortis. That dread book of the undead has ever been a bane to men, for within it dusty pages lay the knowledge of the other side. Argus's lust has led him.
