From the supplier: In Sing Sing Correctional Facility, a prison in New York, prisoners can participate in a remarkable one-year college-level academic program that teaches inmates to help themselves and others. A one-year, college-level, 36-credit Certificate in Ministry Program accredited by New York Theological Seminary is offered. One graduate is serving as a senior counselor at Reality House, a nonprofit substance-treatment facility in Harlem. Society often punishes ex-inmates for the rest of their lives by not giving them jobs. The program at Sing Sing prepares them for roles in rebuilding home communities they go back to. The Certificate in Ministry program (CMP) was initiated and is taught mostly by inmates. There is a small number of dedicated outside volunteers.
