From the supplier: The construction of a dam and hydropower station in Lesotho to supply South Africa has only exacerbated the smaller country's resource problems. The dam was begun as a project between the Lesotho military government and South African apartheid government, and the World Bank has funded its continued construction. Lesotho's mountainous terrain is abundant in fresh water, and the native Basotho believe that South Africa only means to exploit these resources without direct benefit for Lesotho.
