Richard Codor's Joyous Haggadah:A Children and Family Cartoon Haggadah for Passover Seder
Richard Codor's Joyous Haggadah: The Illuminated Story of Passover A concise modern Haggadah children's haggadah, this is a great family haggadah for beginners or anyone who spends seder night with children. Illustrated in a cartoon style and written in a light humorous manner. Alan M. Tigay, Executive Editor, Hadassah Magazine:

No cartoonist can match Richard Codor for his whimsical sense of humor and his understanding of the Jewish world. His Haggadah promises to bridge the greatest divide in the Jewish world: between adults and children.

Peninnah Schram, storyteller and author of Jewish folktales

What a delightful romp through the seder via this Joyous Haggadah! The multi-layered narrative and rituals in this haggadah appeal to the eye, the imagination, the funny-bone, and the occasion. Beginning with the prequel of the Joseph story, continuing until the Israelites gain their freedom, and ending with more symbolic rituals and song, the combination of telling the story and conducting the seder is presented clearly with charming and wacky humor (in both words and visuals). The cartoon-like illustrations not only enhance the story but will also add to a memorable and joy-filled shared family experience!

About the Authors:

Richard Codor makes a living drawing humorously. His illustrations appear regularly in Hadassah Magazine and he was editorial cartoonist for Crain's NY Business and NY Observer. His work is featured in the books The Big Book of Jewish Humor (Collins), All You Want To Know About Sabbath Service (Behrman House), and in Israel (where he lived and worked for the Television Authority and Jerusalem Post), the social satire classic, Zoo Eretz Zoo (E.L.S. Editions). His storyboards are used in numerous multiethnic, politically correct and incorrect movies, TV and Internet media such as Doug, Lizzie McGuire, Robots, and Queer Duck. He is a recipient of multiple Jewish Press Association/Rockower Awards for Cartooning and the first Charles Schulz Prize. Liora Codor is a senior staff photographer for Macy's and shoots for their national catalogs and advertisements. She was born in Haifa, Israel and ran her own successful commercial photography studio. She is also a realistic painter and still life photographer. A keeper of traditions, she and Richard are the parents of two and live in Brooklyn, NY..

Creating Lively Passover Seders: An Interactive Sourcebook of Tales, Texts & Activities
A guide to help you invigorate your Seder, create lively discussions, and make personal connections with the Exodus story today.

For many people, the act of simply reading the Haggadah no longer fulfills the Passover Seder's purpose: to help you feel as if you personally had gone out of Egypt. Too often, the ritual meal has become predictable, boring, and uninspiring.

Creating Lively Passover Seders is an innovative, interactive guide to help encourage fresh perspectives and lively dialogue. This intriguing Haggadah companion offers thematic discussion topics, text study ideas, activities, and readings that come alive in the traditional group setting of the Passover Seder. Each activity and discussion idea aims to:

• Deepen your understanding of the Haggadah

• Provide new opportunities for engaging the themes of the Passover festival, including interactive readings and bibliodrama

• Develop familiarity with the Exodus story, as well as the life and times of the people who shaped the development of the Haggadah

Reliving the Exodus is not about remembering an event long ago, but about participating in a conversation that provides hope and strength for the struggle to make tomorrow a brighter day. With this complete resource, you can create more meaningful encounters with Jewish values, traditions, and texts that lead well beyond the Seder itself..

A Night of Questions: A Passover Haggadah

A Night of Questions is a unique four-in-one Haggadah that includes outlines for customizing a Seder for the people present at the table. The four menus include a Seder for young children, a Seder for older children with adults, a Seder for groups of diverse backgrounds (including those who are not Jewish), and a Seder focusing on the role of women.

The Haggadah also features special color-coded graphic icons that highlight the different types of readings such as kavanot, which are introductions to the text that set the tone for the text, and readings for children. Readings and songs are drawn from a wide variety of sources, representing the diversity of the Jewish community and the world in which we live. Accompanying the text is compelling new artwork by Jeffrey Schrier, which itself serves as a commentary on the Haggadah liturgy.
