From the supplier: The Phidias project was initiated to investigate the process of constructing solid medical models. It was participated in by Materialise, Siemens Medical Systems, Zeneca Specialties and The Laboratory for Medical Imaging Research of the KU-Leuven. The accuracy of Spiral CT imaging was examined using Materialise's Medical Modeller Workstation software. Results showed that the accuracy of the models is limited by the accuracy of the medical images and scanning equipment, although such limitations can be overcome through the use of the intelligent interpolation approach.
