From the supplier: Anticipation is considered as the mental skill needed by athletes involved in fast-paced sports such as basketball, volleyball or tennis and contributes immensely to the overall quickness of the athlete. The goal of anticipation is to know the opponent's action on a probability basis. In tennis, athletes must know the three primary aspects of the opponent's play, particularly, alignment of the body, ball contact and racquet face and path. Knowing the opponent's favorite shot is an additional advantage.
