Princess of the Empire
A novel of hand to hand combat, sex with a foxy werewolf and interstellar love and war This is not chick-lit and I do not emote well nor do the characters in the book. They are direct and tough and since she's part wolf she acts like what she is. He is a soldier and talks and and acts like one. They are both warriors and are bonded for life just as wolves are. Here's a sample: Chief shouts. "Don't fire, use knives and bayonets only." He charges into the fray with a Bowie knife in one hand and his tomahawk in the other. He hacks a Chink down, stabs another, then throws his hawk at the last one hitting him in the face knocking him back into wolf lady who bites him on the neck ripping his throat out. Wolf lady comes up licking her lips while he's holding his side huffing and puffing trying not to have a heart attack. A while later he feels her hands moving on his body lingering at certain places. He stirs and says. "I don't know if I can do this after that wild session." "Not to worry I went to the pharmacy and bought some of those pills they advertise on TV and I slipped one in your drink. I want to see if we can get that four hour erection and I intend to make good use of it. What's that song 'All day all night Maryann', oh I see it's working and it's your turn on top. The females of the Ghang are like the wolves they are related to, they go into heat once a year and expect a years worth of sex in that week..

Afghanistan 1879. Britain fights to keep Russia out of India. Peter Rutland, newly commissioned into the Royal Artillery, has been posted to Kurram with his Battery of 'Screw Guns'. "When your blood returns, it will darken the stones of our valley." This courageous and inexperienced officer embarks on a hazardous mission to return a precious holy relic to the religous Afghan clerics. Rutland's Guns
1900 - Peter Rutland, now a Major in the Royal Artillery, is posted to Cape Province in the early part of 1900 to trial a new type of gun under battlefield conditions against the Boers. He finds this campaign completely different from any other action he has been in before, and he is unsure about the validity of the reasons for fighting these farmers. His family relationships turn this campaign into a personal civil war for him. He is still deeply saddened by the death of his wife Beatrice but finds a new love from an unexpected situation. During the intense fighting, the type of which foreshadows that of the First World War, he discovers treachery, and a depth of loyalty that he should have been aware of. Rutland's Guns gives an insight into the lives of Gunners during the Boer War in South Africa, and vividly paints the picture of action in a beautiful but unforgiving country.
