Workmanship was
written to open and deepen the lines of
communication on the
challenging subject of sex and is designed for the purpose of preserving the sexual purity of children. This workbook lowers the level of intimidation on this difficult subject by providing a guideline with which to teach you children God's principles.
Protecting His Workmanship is a strongly interactive workbook which is designed to be used as six individual sessions between parent and child with the goal of understanding the purpose, beauty, and intent for sex. The six sections, each requiring one to three hours, are:
1. Physical Changes and Sexual Love – The Nuts and Bolts
2. God’s Design – Purity when Single and Faithfulness when Married
3. Infatuation and Lust vs. True Love
4. Integrity, Self-Control, and Sexual Purity
5. Whom and When Should I Date
6. The Covenant of Sexual Purity
Each of the six sessions involves three activities. First, the parent talks to their child about the topic while the child fills in a worksheet. Next, the child takes time to do an individual Bible study. Lastly, the parent and child come back together to discuss what they have learned.
The time spent studying this critical area of life together will inspire youth to save themselves for that one special person to whom they will someday make a lifelong commitment..
