No Man's Land: What to Do When Your Company Is Too Big to Be Small but Too Small to Be Big
“I travel the country speaking about No Man’s Land to entrepreneurs and business leaders. Wherever I go, I get the same response Listeners approach me with sadness in their eyes and say, ‘Doug, if only I had known about No Man’s Land when I was running my company, we might still be in business.’”—Doug Tatum

If starting a company is difficult, leading a company once the business has caught fire is infinitely more so. Thousands each year approach the dangerous transition that Doug Tatum calls No Man’s Land—when they are too big to be considered small but still too small to be considered big.

Rapid growth is every entrepreneur’s dream, but it never comes easily and is usually rife with dilemmas. During No Man’s Land, as in human adolescence, such growth should spark self- discovery, acquired discipline, and positive but difficult transition. Unfortunately, it often becomes an agonizing battle between the natural tendencies of a lonely entrepreneur and certain immutable laws of growth. The result is confusion, frustration, stagnation, loss of employee morale, and, at worst, financial failure.

Sounds pretty bleak. The good news is that Doug Tatum knows exactly what it takes to get through No Man’s Land: a map, a high place from which to orient yourself, and navigational rules to help you track your progress. And these tools are here in this book.

Through case studies and stories of successes and failures, No Man’s Land will help you learn how to:
* Align your growing company with its market.
* Execute the necessary changes in your management.
* Confirm that your financial model is scalable.
* Attract money and make smart decisions about financing your business.

If you’re an entrepreneur, this book will help you make your company all it can be and all you want it to be. It will prepare you for a ride that just might be wilder than you ever imagined..

The Sweet Potato Queens' First Big-Ass Novel: Stuff We Didn't Actually Do, But Could Have, And May Yet
"I have no pride. I tell anything," Jill Conner Browne is fond of saying. As Her Royal Highness, Boss Queen of the Sweet Potato Queens®, she has told legions of fans, known as "SPQ Wannabes," her delectable secrets to living, loving -- and eating -- like a queen. In her words, "More is more."

How much more? The #1 New York Times bestselling author of five works of nonfiction now serves up The Sweet Potato Queens' First Big-Ass Novel: Stuff We Didn't Actually Do, but Could Have, and May Yet. The humor in this uproarious coming-of-queen novel is more delicious than a favorite dessert (the Queens favor Chocolate Stuff™, of course).

In Jackson, Mississippi, Mary Bennett, Patsy, Gerald, and Jill are high school classmates whose daily routine is paced like a shuffle through the local red dirt -- until the arrival of a redheaded newcomer banishes monotony forever. With her luxurious mane and voluptuous figure, Tammy Myers aspires to join the silver-spooners, who make things happen in their lives. When Jill convinces Tammy and the others that money might buy a certain kind of good time and that true friendship has no price tag, the "Sweet Potato Queens" are born. "If it ain't fun, we ain't doin' it," runs their official club motto, and the Queens are true to their word.

Together, the Queens laugh out loud as they step down the long -- and not altogether pretty -- road toward making their very own queen dust, the sparkle that comes from livin' and lovin' their own lives. The Sweet Potato Queens' First Big-Ass Novel: Stuff We Didn't Actually Do, but Could Have, and May Yet reveals that the journey isn't always easy, but in the company of the Queens, you can sparkle, too..

Speed, Speed, and Nothing but Speed: The New Bible for True Speed Handicappers (1)
The book, is really more like a "Pamphlet". It was converted from its original 65 pages (8.5x11 format) to the current 79 pages, in 6x9 format. Hence the reason Mr. Rates is offering his first published work at such an incredibly discounted price. He was told that he could easily fetch 19.95 per copy, but he insisted on the current price of 11.95. He's been around the horse game for nearly 40 years, and has developed a lot of highly intriguing practices and techniques, and to say the very least, he is a man with an absolute wealth of knowledge to share. Receiving this "Booklet" for a price of 11.95 is like stealing from him, in my opinion. For the record.... He wanted me to mention that all of his more recent successes are due (in part) because of a Mr. Joseph J Tuttle (another writer here on Amazon), I'm his Protege Ryan Carter Smith. Good Luck to everyone!.
