From the supplier: Oklahoma State University's Teletraining Institute is the only source of formal training for distance education professionals in the US. Distance education is emerging as a viable means of teaching and learning, creating a demand for the skills and methods required in this field. The institute provides a variety of programs designed to help teachers develop a presentation style that is suitable for a distance learning situation. Four regularly offered courses are Teletechniques, New Horizons in Distance Education, Video Systems in Distance Education, and The Learning Activity Package. These courses are offered throughout the year and take two or three days each. A two-week course, the Summer Institute Program, is available to K-12 teachers and includes workshops, seminars and laboratories related to the skills and methodologies employed in distance learning.
