From the supplier: A buyer's guide to hardware and software products that tightly integrate instruction and assessment for both K-12 and college campuses is presented. Scanning Systems' SR-601 can scan as many as 2,200 sheets per hour and reads any 48-column scannable form. Applications of optical scanners in an academic center.: An article from: T H E Journal (Technological Horizons In Education)
This digital document is an article from T H E Journal (Technological Horizons In Education), published by T.H.E. Journal, LLC on March 1, 1995. The length of the article is 2922 words. The page length shown above is based on a typical 300-word page. The article is delivered in HTML format and is available in your Amazon.com Digital Locker immediately after purchase. From the supplier: Optical scanners can be very useful to have in an academic setting. There are different types of scanners that can be used, including optical character recognition (OCR) scanners, which read printed text from a source, optical mark readers (OMR), which read marks on a page and graphics scanners that copy images from a page. OCR technology requires both a scanner and OCR software that captures the data from the page through the scanner and then interprets into a readable, editable file. OCR software is still not completely accurate and often requires significant editing after scanning. Another limitation to OCR software is that pagination and formatting is usually lost in the scanning process. Graphics scanning is one of the more popular applications for scanners. Images that have been scanned into a file can usually be edited and manipulated.
