From the supplier: Medical claims submitted under automobile insurance policies are inflated by an estimated $13 bil to $18 bil annually, according to a study by the Rand Corp's Institute for Civil Justice. Excess medical claims were defined as claims for non-existent injuries, claims from non-occurring accidents or exaggerated real injuries. An estimated 35% to 42% of automobile medical claims are excessive.
