From the supplier: The national infrastructure system is becoming more vulnerable to physical and electronic disruptions as a result of growing automation and interconnection. The Presidential Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection that was formed in 1996 concluded that the country's infrastructure system, from telecommunications to transportation, is in serious danger of being incapacitated or destroyed. The commission recommended forging public-private partnerships and establishing a warning center to address the problem and avert a major disaster.
