From the supplier: The State University of New York (SUNY) is finding it more and more difficult to provide its students unexpensive quality education because of reductions in its budget and increases in tuition fees. Fourteen percent of its full-time professors resigned from 1994-1996 and has led to an increase in its part-time teachers. Despite the $2 billion surplus in the New York State budget, Gov George Pataki vetoed many of the appropriations for SUNY. Instead, Pataki plans to spend $515 million per year for campus construction which have very little impact on the students.
