The Meandering Way: Leading by Following the Spirit
How often do you feel overwhelmed by the pace of your life? These days it's easy to work harder and harder, constantly pushing ourselves and those around us so that we and our congregations can be "successful." We forget that our drive to succeed can prevent us from taking the time to stop and listen for what God is calling us and our congregations to be. This book is one pastor's story of his journey from a success-oriented drivenness to a significance-oriented, meandering style of life. What you will find are reflections from a fellow traveler who is now less desirous of doing something spectacular for God and is instead committed to doing something significant with God--who is discovering a more grace-filled, Spirit-led way. This book offers a contrarian take on the more popular practices of leadership found throughout the church today. Meandering leaders are attentive to the promptings of the Spirit. They are guides and mentors who patiently journey alongside those they love and lead. Ultimately, being a meandering leader is about being on a journey with God--personally and corporately slowing down the pace of our lives and following God's Spirit. In the faith journey, we are not so much racing toward a physical finish line as we are meandering toward becoming all that God has in mind for us to be. This book is an invitation to journey into the depths of your own soul and to follow the Spirit's lead in the next chapters of your life..

Australia in the Raw: An eclectic collection of meandering musings
Reading this book is designed to give a humorous insight into the land down under thus enlightening the reader to this very different part of the world. This is not just another book extolling the virtues of Australia. Rather it is a series of stories written by an Australian. The stories give a concise view of life in Australia and include information on the geography, climate, animals, people, major points of interest and culture. I trust you enjoy reading as much as I enjoyed the writing - some surprises are guaranteed, such as; Contrary to popular opinion, Kookaburras don't cook. Not that they couldn't, they just prefer their meat like Americans, so rare they are honest about it and don't take a flame near it. We learnt this when we were in the States - the waiter/ress would say the usual "How do you like your steak sir" and unless we said cremated, it was rare every time. Actually, it's always intrigued us but this is how I think it really goes stateside. Rare - the Chef is smoking, Medium the Chef and his/her Assistant are both smoking and finally well done - The chef accidentally drops the meat onto the cooker but rescues it in a split second. At least that's how it looked to us. That's what the Kookaburra is like. I saw one kill a snake once, and after the snake was dead it flew a short distance around it, just to make sure I guess and in the heat of the Australian sun it was clear by American standards the Kooka wanted to eat the snake "well done", which he did. How smart is that! .

Meanderings in the West
Meandering in the West is the second of a five book series entitled "The Maverick Series." In the western states we enjoyed the rugged pristine beaches and the stately lighthouses of the Pacific Coast, the glorious mountain ranges, and the beautiful Columbia River Gorge. Also included, are stories of three trips to Mexico: Mazatlan, Keno Bay, and Puerto Penasco. Even more enjoyable than the obvious "sights and sites" were the surprising discoveries we encountered while exploring side roads and remote areas. The book shares these stories too!.

Meandering Down The Highway : A Year On The Road With Fulltime RVers
When overworked, stressed out baby boomers Nick and Terry Russell looked at their lives and their 75+ hour work weeks one day, they knew it was time to make a change. So they sold their Corvette, their classic cars, their house full of antiques and the other "stuff" that was tying them down and hit the road to travel fulltime in a motorhome. Today they publish a popular RV newspaper, and write about their adventures on the highways and back roads of America, the small towns, historical sites, oddball attractions, and the weird, wacky, and wonderful people they meet along the way. Irreverent, funny, and dead serious at the same time, Meandering Down The Highway is a true look at the RV lifestyle, both the good and the bad. A compilation of the first year's Meandering Down The Highway columns from the Russell's popular Gypsy Journal RV travel newspaper, this is the book you can't miss if you have ever thought there was more to life than work and frustration!.
