From the supplier: Neuropsychologists can provide evidence of brain damage's effect on cognitive skills, something tests such as CT and MRI scans are not capable of. They have objective and standardized assessment tests for determining the existence and severity of cognitive impairment. Experts can also rule out alternate causes of behavioral impairments such as malingering, depression and adverse drug effects. Collecting relevant background information and sending it to the neuropsychologist can improve the accurate evaluation of your client.

From the supplier: Mild traumatic brain injury cases require unusual care in preparation and use of the best possible neuropsychologist as an expert witness because by definition such cases involve subtle and hard-to-detect damage. Neuropsychologists have degrees in psychology and not medicine, and their testimony is not universally admissible, so research on jurisdictional law is necessary. After establishing the expert's credentials, the lawyer should move directly to diagnosis of the injury and prognosis, followed by an explanation of the reasoning involved.
