The House That Cleans Itself: Creative Solutions for a Clean and Orderly House in Less Time Than You Can Imagine
The House That Cleans Itself is a true housekeeping guide for the housekeeping–impaired! It boldly takes on the reasons behind chronic messiness and why ordinary home–organization books won’t work. Using the methods of “horizontal thinking,” this book teaches readers how to set up a home so efficiently and logically that it seems to clean itself. More than a how–to book, The House That Cleans Itself also looks at what God has to say about cleanliness and order, and how He can inspire order in every reader’s life in a fresh and unique way. For added fun, some of the tips Mindy uses come from research for her popular novels, The Trouble with Tulip, Blind Dates Can Be Murder, and Elementary, My Dear Watkins. .

A Decent, Orderly Lynching: The Montana Vigilantes
The deadliest campaign of vigilante justice in American history erupted in the Rocky Mountains during the Civil War when a private army hanged twenty-one troublemakers. Hailed as great heroes at the time, the Montana vigilantes are still revered as founding fathers. Combing through original sources, including eye-witness accounts never before published, Frederick Allen concludes that the vigilantes were justified in their early actions, as they fought violent crime in a remote corner beyond the reach of government. But Allen has uncovered evidence that the vigilantes refused to disband after territorial courts were in place. Remaining active for six years, they lynched more than fifty men without trials. Reliance on mob rule in Montana became so ingrained that in 1883, a Helena newspaper editor advocated a return to "decent, orderly lynching" as a legitimate tool of social control. Allen's sharply drawn characters, illustrated by dozens of photographs, are woven into a masterfully written narrative that will change textbook accounts of Montana's early days--and challenge our thinking on the essence of justice..

Orderly Chaos: The Mandala Principle (Dharma Ocean Series)
According to the mandala principle, a prominent feature of tantric Buddhism, all phenomena are part of one reality. Whether good or bad, happy or sad, clear or obscure, everything is interrelated and reflects a single totality. As Chögyam Trungpa explains in this work, from the perspective of the mandala principle, existence is orderly chaos. There is chaos and confusion because everything happens by itself, without any external ordering principle. At the same time, whatever happens expresses order and intelligence, wakeful energy and precision. Through meditative practices associated with the mandala principle, the opposites of experience—confusion and enlightenment, chaos and order, pain and pleasure—are revealed as inseparable parts of a total vision of reality..

Along the Braddock Road
The inhabitants of this region were a part of the Shawnee tribe, a warlike sub-division of the Algonquin group. While the men of the tribe engaged in the pursuit of fish and game, taking time now and then to go on the warpath; their families were left at home to till the soil and grow maize and grass in the rich river bottomland. The earliest white man s activity begins with the surveying by Colonel Thomas Cresap and the founding of Will s Town. Later to become Will s Creek, in honor of Indian Will, the town s namesake, first appearing on the official 1751 map as Caiuctucuc Creek. The first official government venture into the region and westward into the Pennsylvania frontier came at the request of Governor Dinwiddie to reconnoiter French intentions and activity. To carry out this order he chose a 21-year-old unassuming young man named George Washington. Leaving Williamsburg, VA on the 31st of October, 1753, Washington would hire Christopher Gist, living on Will s Creek, as his guide. That winter s journey into Western PA to confront the French would conclude with Washington s capitulation at Fort Necessity. Washington s Journal of this expedition is an important part of this book. The subsequent building of Ft Cumberland, the build up of British forces and activity that culminated with that fateful day on July 9, 1755, is the subject of the remainder of this book. Supremely important to this book is the 60 pp ORDERLY BOOKS of Braddock from Feb. 28 to June 17, 1755, taken from the originals in the CONGRESSIONAL LIBRARY as he prepares to march to Western PA. 320pp HB 250th ANNIVERSARY EDITION w/ 8 illustrations & maps.
