Siftings (American Land Classics)
One of Americas greatest landscape designers and conservationists, Jensen used native plants to introduce the influential Prairie style of landscape architecture. In Siftings, Jensen shares his memories of "wandering in many lands" and his life in the heart of Middle America. His recollections -- like his designs -- express a love of natural landscapes and regional cultures. As he sifts through a lifetime of ideas about gardens, cities, towns and parks, Jensen makes an eloquent case for a natural style of American landscape. .

AFTER "The Sifting": There is Life!
Follow the trace line of Peter impetuous, knowledgeable and used mightily by God. Yet in all of his dealings he consistently failed God! While this book trace lines important events in Peters life any individual reading it should find a mirror image of themselves. No matter how hard we try and strive to bring God pleasure we find ourselves failing yet even in our failures we still bring to God the Glory he deserves. We need understand that because we are gifted we automatically become targets for the enemy his desire is to keep us immobilized and to constantly remind us that we are not good enough. God does not call us to perfection but rather his desire is that we become Holy. Our righteousness is established through what he has done for us. Therefore the redemptive work that takes place at Calvary is essential to the success of every believer. All God wants of us is to allow him to lead us. It is his total intent and purpose to usher us to the right places. Like Peter we do not always understand where he wants to take us we just need to follow his lead. Our confidence is after we have done the will of God, we will receive the promise. It is the will of God that we receive everything that he wants us to receive that is not without cost. But if we pay the cost the benefits that follow far outweigh the cost that we pay. God is always faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and he is eager to restore us into the fold. He already knows what we will do, but even greater than that he knows our potential..

Remind Me Why I'm Here: Sifting through Sudden Loss of Memory and Judgment (People with Disabilities Press)
“It is one matter to forget things when you have a million thoughts flooding your mind and quite another to forget when your head is as empty as a looted store.” —from Remind Me Why I’m Here In the spring of 1996, Diana Lund was a top-ranked project manager in her mid-thirties when a car accident instantly changed her personality and her life’s direction. Thrust into short-term memory loss and cognitive deficit, self-perception kept colliding into reality. Neurologists underestimated her difficulties; they sent her back to work, to manage multi-million dollar contracts, in a mentally compromised state. Beyond an account of devastating internal transformation, Remind Me delves into neurological research and trends. Lund pushes her intellect to its limit to unravel mysteries about her brain and accident. And on her quest to become whole again and to understand the neurological world, she discovers hope. “A topic that could be dense and heavy becomes a page turner. Even sophisticated professionals can relate to the freshness of observations . . .” —Leonard Diller, PhD, Prof. of Rehabilitation Medicine, NYU School of Medicine; Director of Psychology, Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine “A superbly written volume . . . illustrating . . . that even so-called minor brain injuries can produce functionally incapacitating cognitive and neurobehavioral impairments . . .” —Yehuda Ben-Yishay, PhD, Prof. of Clinical Rehabilitation Medicine, NYU “Essential reading for clinicians, families, and counselors.” —Marilyn Lash, MSW, Partner, Lash and Associates Publishing/Training, Inc. .

Science Teacher, February 1986 "An articulate introduction to the art of logical thinkingtressing at all times the value of a questioning mind, the authors cannily use statistical subjects that are of interest to young people, such as the accident rates of teenage drivers venhanded in its treatment of issues, the book is outstanding in its clarity, sometimes surprising in its conclusions, and fascinating."
