From the supplier: Market observer John Forster believes that seafood processors should shift their efforts from marketing fresh salmon to promoting frozen salmon. Forster notes that the lower costs associated with packaging and distributing frozen salmon make it a more price-competitive product then fresh salmon, relative to other alternative protein products such as beef, pork and chicken. Forster also says that aquaculture could provide a big boost to the frozen foods industry since it could help supply the future food needs of many developing countries.
