From the author: Some species of birds commonly forage by following other animals and capturing prey flushed by the movements of the latter. Here we describe a possible foraging association between White Hawks (Leucopternis albicollis) and white-nosed coatis (Nasua narica) in Tikal National Park, Guatemala. The frequency of association varied seasonally, perhaps due to differences in availability of reptiles, the hawks' main prey. Received 28 January 2003, accepted 26 March 2004.
